Welcome to Tandem, a platform connecting child care centers with qualified staff, providing child care workers with the flexibility to work on their own terms.

The Tandem app empowers child care workers to choose shifts at child care centers based on their preferred schedule, pay rate, distance, and experience. These shifts can range from short-term substitute roles to full-time permanent positions. Before picking up shifts, all child care workers must complete the process of obtaining and uploading their credentials to meet state requirements for working in a child care center. This may involve a background check, valid identification, and other necessary documentation. Once credentialed, workers gain eligibility to select and work shifts. After completing shifts, workers receive payment, which is transferred to their TandemPay account. From there, they can transfer funds to their personal bank account or use them directly through a Tandem physical or virtual debit card. Additionally, funds can be added to Apple Wallet for convenient access. Workers can continue to pick up shifts and be re-booked by centers they have previously worked with.

HOW TO PICK UP SHIFTS

1. Sign up and create your profile today.
2. Complete your profile and begin uploading or obtaining your credentials.
3. Add your availability and specify additional preferences for pay rate, distance, and shifts.
4. Browse shifts by applying filters to find those that match your schedule, pay rate, and distance preferences.
5. Apply for the shifts you are interested in working.
6. Receive a notification or text from Tandem once you are confirmed for a shift.
7. Review shift details in the "My Jobs" tab of the app.
8. Attend the shift, clocking in and out through the app or provided QR code as required.
9. After completing the shift, your earnings will be sent to your TandemPay account.
10. Spend, transfer, or save the earnings from your completed shifts as desired.
